I stripped the paint myself because I wanted to see what's underneath (don't we all ) before covering it up for good. Not worth the effort, cost, and anger from your spouse for evicting her car from the garage for weeks! 90 bucks and letting a pro do it is well worth it. Wet paint takes long time to completely dry, yet forever so soft you can nick the paint even with you fingernails, let alone rocks. No primer needed since the guy gave it 2 coats. PC is not a wet paint, it's a color powder baked in to change the compoud and that makes the paint much stronger. That aspect was more important for me than preserving vintage look (it's Tequesta anyway). I had it powder coated because the old paint was so beat up and the fact it is a steel frame, I didn't want it to get rusted.
